Industrial Robot Arm Models

Aplus GNC, we provide the robotic arm and the control system. The standard arm has 6 axis which allow it to

move to any point within a working envelope. Movement is driven by electric motors. The control system is a computer

that allows precise movement of the arm by controlling the power supplied to the motors.

Robotic arms typically have capacities of between 1kg to 300kg and are accurate to 0.1mm or better.

Robots are sometimes developed for specific tasks such as painting or welding but the standard industrial robot is

easily programmed to fulfill a number of roles, see the applications page for more details.

Used robots is a fast growing sector of the automation market. The technology and build quality of robots

made over 10 years ago means that they are a viable alternative to new robots with little or no difference in capability

in many applications. Just a big saving in cost.

ABB

ABB are world leaders in robotics and have been for much of the last 40 years. Over 190,000 ABB robots have been installed worldwide, with many robots from the 1980's still working today, they have an enviable reputation for reliability. At Global Robots we usually have a few hundred ABB robots in stock, from S3 up to the latest IRC5 controller. ABB's RAPID programming language used in S4 and later controllers is recognised as being one of the more powerful and adaptable in the robot world.

Fanuc Robotics

At Global Robots we hold substantial stocks of used Fanuc robots. These Japanese robots are very reliable and are first choice for many automotive companies. Popular models include the Fanuc S-420if which is employed by the thousands in the automotive industry and the S430if and R2000 which have superseded it. Fanuc robots set up for welding are called ArcMate, these often have a handling equivalent; for example the M16i is the same as the ArcMate 120i.

Kuka

Kuka Robotics is a German based company that has gained a fantastic reputation for innovation and product development. They were the first major robot company to use a Microsoft windows based programming interface. They were also the first company to make extensive use of Aluminium in robot arm design making Kuka manipulators among the lightest and fastest available. They also introduced a horizontal balancing spring on axis 2 before the other main manufacturers, a design that has now been widely adopted.

Motoman Robots

With a global install base of nearly nearly 300,000 industrial robotic arms, Yaskawa Motoman has over 150 robot models currently in production. Use the criteria below to help you find a suitable robot arm for your industrial application according to your required payload, reach and repeatability specifications. Each Motoman robot model is compatible with one or more robot controller models, enabling you to program and control tasks of a single robot or coordinate multiple robot arms.
